What is Somatic Therapy?

Somatic therapy or body based exploration helps us understand how your emotional health shows up in your body. We use this gentle approach to explore the emotional, ancestral, and hidden layers that might be causing you to hold deep physical tension or chronic stress.

We work from the belief that your body is deeply wise. When it feels tight, heavy or exhausted, it is often just trying to communicate old stress, survival habits, or heavy experiences you haven't had a safe place to process yet.

When Chronic Stress Lives in the body

You may look like you're holding it together, but inside, your body feels tense, tired or on edge.

Many women I work with feel:

  •  Constantly overwhelmed or "on alert"

  •  Anxious, exhausted, or shut down for no clear reason.

  • Responsible for everyone else, with little space for themselves.

  • Disconnected from their body, emotions, or sense of self.

This isn't a personal failure. It's a nervous system that's been under stress for too long.

How Somatic Therapy or Body Based Therapy Helps:

Somatic therapy focuses on how stress and overwhelm show up in your body, not just your thoughts.

Together, we gently work with sensation, awareness, and nervous system regulation to help your body feel safer and more balanced.

This work can help you:

  • Calm anxiety and chronic stress

  • Release tension and emotional buildup

  • Improve energy, sleep, and focus

  • Feel more grounded and present in your daily life.

Your nervous system adapted to survive to pressure, responsibility, and high expectations. In this space, we support your body in learning that it no longer has to stay in survival mode. Allowing your inner child to grow from survival into feeling safe to experience the world.

Choosing to do this work is a foundational investment in your healing. By moving at a pace that honors your nervous system, you are reclaiming your time, your energy, and the lightness you were always meant to carry. It is an investment that honors the version of you that is ready to stop surviving and start living.

In Our Sessions We:

Through somatic exploration, we view your physical sensations not as obstacles, but as doorways into your emotional world. By listening to your body's cues, we can bring emotional awareness from the subconscious mind to the unspoken stress, trauma, and emotional themes your nervous system may be holding.

Together, we will explore:

  • The emotional weight behind your physical tension.

  • Intergenerational patterns impacting your nervous system.

  • How to safely shift out of survival mode and into deeper connection and emotional regulation.

This mind-body approach may support you if you are experiencing:

  • Ongoing burnout, overwhelm, or stress-related fatigue.

  • Persistent physical tension or "holding" patterns.

  • Discomfort that flares up during times of stress or emotional overwhelm.

  • Emotional fluctuations that disrupt your daily rhythm.

  • Physical heaviness that feels connected to deeper family or ancestral layers.

Your body is speaking.are you ready to listen?

Let's uncover the emotional roots of your physical symptoms together.

While somatic exploration and holistic therapy help us understand the emotional weight that your body is carrying, these are not a form of medical treatment. I do not diagnose, treat, or cure physical diseases.

Please view this  mind-body work as a emotional  support system that walks  alongside your medical care, never as replacement for it.

Always consult with your doctor regarding any physical symptoms or medical conditions. Your healing journey is holistic, and keeping a relationship with your medical provider is essential for your safety and well-being.
